The V Cafe Is Helping Others This Winter

Beginning in January 2009, join us for Friday Night @ The V Cafe for some great Christian music AND to help provide for those in need during these tough economic times. All donations received will go to one of several local ministries that are committed to helping the homeless and the poor of our community. All of the musical artist are waving their portions of the voluntary cover charge and donations in order to help out the needy in the Knoxville area. Canned goods and non-perishable food items will also be collected and distributed to local agencies and food pantries.

The V Community Christmas Dinner Coming Soon.

The V Community Christmas Dinner will be on December 6th at 5pm. There will be plenty of turkey and dressing for everyone! All of those who are living in the motels around The V are invited to join us. There will be special gift drawings for all of our visitors. Some of the gifts will include gift cards from local stores and more. There will also be a drawing for the children that will include a new mp3 player. Please come and join us. 'Rock The Block' Coming To Magnolia Ave.

Join Us On Saturday, August 30th for 'Rock The Block' on the parking lot behind Magnolia Avenue United Methodist Church. There will be plenty of music and more. More information to come.
   

Back To School Block Party - Aug. 2nd

Water Angel Ministries’ Back to School Block Party

a at the ministry center (907 University Avenue) is coming up on Saturday, August 2nd from 10 am – 2 pm. The goal is to provide a day of fun & free back to school supplies for 500 homeless & inner city children. As of 7/11/08, they still need 360 backpacks, 32 rulers, 420 glue sticks, 440 scissors, 393 packs of filler paper, 490 folders, and 409 spiral notebooks. Water Angels will pick up donations or they can be dropped off at the ministry center on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays from 10-2 or on Sundays from 1-5. They are also hoping to recruit 60 more volunteers to paint faces, run the carnival games, hand out prizes, and serve food. Worship Service With The Homeless

Sunday Worship With Water Angels Ministries

Join us on Sunday, July 20th at 2pm. We will be attending a worship service at Water Angels Ministries Church, located at 907 University Avenue, Knoxville, 37921. After the service the homeless will be fed a meal by the volunteers. We simply want to show our support for Water Angels Ministries and be an encouragement and help to the homeless in our area. 

Water Angel Ministries, Inc., is a non-profit Christian ministry providing help to the homeless and offering hope to the hopeless in the Knoxville, Tennessee, area.
